“MOLD” in ductless indoor units

it seems that we run across a lot of “moldy” ductless units at maintenances. we install quite a few every year and do our best to insure a quality install with all penetrations sealed up well to prevent any infiltration or the head unit from being exposed directly to outdoor air. we use the speedclean pressure washers when needed on mainenances.

some units are worse than others even with in the same home. has anyone experienced this and what contributing factors have you found? Runtime? Filters? environment? (clean or dirty home)  Improperly sized units? too large?
