RE: Triple evac
So… there is a discussion on an HVAC fb page concerning triple evac. There are several saying that it’s not imperative to pull a triple, for various reasons. I was taught the nitro helps remove moisture and have always pulled a triple evac. I know this is a much better forum for answers so…
Do you triple evac? Why or why not???
I have a proposition. I’m having my techs in the office in a few weeks (they’re remote) and I’m planning some training in our test chambers. I offer our services to conduct an experiment using our Appion megaflow hoses and valve core tools using single evac, and triple evac procedures – possibly with an additional iteration introducing some amount of moisture into the system. I also should have the iManifold by then, which i was impressed with their evac trending view and that could help provide a visual comparison as well as a timed comparison. Does that sound useful?
