RE: How do you measure system airflow?

So much of what we do requires either measuring or approximating airflow measurement on the entire system (over the evaporator coil) what method or methods do you use?

If you absolutely had to get a system air measurement within 5% of reality on every call what method would you use?

So many great answers that are unfortunately all depending on the accuracy of the instrument being used. Duuhhh right ?
I worked in test and balance and in the beginning I thought “wow, now I’m rolling with the big dogs !” Doing testing, balancing, commissioning etc. Entire sport complexes or large facility under our power so to speak.
Until the moment I learned that calibration labs guarantee their accuracy within +-10%….written on the certificate of calibration itself ! my head exploded.
We would get paid big money to be accurate within 20%. That’s when I stopped doing T&B. True story.
